Artist Biography
Brenda Bullock is a Northern Ireland-based visual artist working across painting, photography and lens-based media. Her practice explores memory, inheritance, landscape and the psychological symbolism of water. Through research-led projects, she investigates the intersections of place, myth and personal history, often drawing on the River Blackwater and the cultural narratives embedded within the landscape.
Her work has been exhibited throughout Wales and Northern Ireland and has received recognition through awards, publications and bursaries, including support from the Royal Photographic Society. Recent projects include the ongoing Blackwater series, which examines memory, transformation and the relationship between landscape and identity.
Born in Northern Ireland, Brenda lives and works in County Tyrone.

Current Practice
Brenda's current work centres on Blackwater, an ongoing body of paintings and mixed-media works exploring the River Blackwater as a site of memory, mythology and psychological reflection. Through painting, photography and material experimentation, the project examines themes of inheritance, silence, transformation and the relationship between human experience and landscape.
